Biologist | Biology Educator | Science/STEM Teacher
I combine a strong academic background in biology, field research experience, laboratory skills, and a passion for teaching science through hands-on learning.
I am a biologist and science educator with a strong background in biology, mathematics, and education. I have experience working with children in both Ukraine and the United States.
I hold a Master of Science in Biology and a Master’s degree in Education. My professional interests include Biology, Science/STEM education, Russian language instruction, and bilingual education.
I use my biology background to make science clear, active, and meaningful for students. I enjoy helping children explore the natural world through observation, experiments, discussion, and real-life examples.
My professional focus is Biology, Science/STEM education, and hands-on learning. I am especially interested in teaching biology, natural sciences, environmental science, and STEM topics to elementary and middle-grade students.
Science Teacher — "Lyra" Language and Cultural Center, Armonk, NY
Developed and taught science lessons for elementary students. Created hands-on activities, experiments, and inquiry-based lessons. Helped students build curiosity, scientific vocabulary, observation skills, and understanding of natural science concepts.
Mathematics Teacher — RSM, Scarsdale, NY
Taught mathematics to elementary students in classroom and individual settings. Supported logical thinking, problem-solving skills, accuracy, and academic confidence.
Teacher Assistant — Pleasantville Union Free School District, NY
Supported students in elementary and middle school classrooms. Assisted with classroom routines, academic tasks, student participation, and a positive learning environment.

My interest in biology began when I was young. After high school, I joined a scientific expedition to the Commander Islands near Kamchatka. This experience helped me understand that I wanted to study biology, wildlife, and animal behavior.
I later studied Biology at Moscow State University. My research focused on the behavior of Steller sea lions. As a student and young scientist, I took part in several field expeditions to Medny Island in the North Pacific. My thesis was connected with the reproductive behavior of female Steller sea lions.
After graduation, I worked at the Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution as a researcher and laboratory assistant-zoologist. Our team studied chemical communication in mice and rats. This work gave me valuable laboratory experience and helped me understand how scientific research is planned, organized, and documented.
Over time, my professional path moved toward education. I began teaching children and discovered that my biology background helps me make science clear, interesting, and understandable. I enjoy helping students explore nature, ask questions, observe, compare, and learn through hands-on activities.
Today, I see my work as a combination of science and education. My goal is to bring real scientific experience into the classroom and inspire students to explore biology, nature, and the living world.
I am interested in opportunities in Biology, Science/STEM education, Russian language instruction, and bilingual education.
Please feel free to contact me to discuss how my background in biology, research, and teaching can support your students and your school community.
